What is it?

The Interdisciplinary Conference in Psychology involves our community by reaching out to high school students to promote the University of Ottawa and its research opportunities.

Since the pandemic, students have been able to attend our one-day conference online. Students can attend presentations on various topics relevant to them such as university student life and research opportunities at the undergraduate level. Undergraduate students also share their experience and what they wish they knew when they first started university.

As with the larger conference, our high-school event is completely bilingual, with all the above activities offered in both French and English. In all, it provides an opportunity for our future researchers to become acquainted with a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, academic conference.

Qu'est-ce que c'est ?

La conférence interdisciplinaire en psychologie implique notre communauté en faisant participer les étudiants du secondaire dans le but de promouvoir l’Université d’Ottawa et ses opportunités de recherche.

Depuis la pandémie, les étudiants ont pu assister à notre conférence d’un jour en ligne. Les étudiants peuvent assister à des présentations sur différents sujets qui leur sont pertinents comme la vie universitaire en tant qu’étudiant et les opportunités de recherche au niveau du baccalauréat. Des étudiants au baccalauréat en psychologie partagent aussi leurs expériences et ce qu’ils ou elles auraient aimé savoir avant de commencer l’université.

Comme pour la conférence générale, nos événements avec les écoles secondaires sont complètement bilingues, toutes les activités étant offertes en français et en anglais. À tous les égards, cet événement donne une opportunité à des futurs chercheurs de vivre l’expérience d’une conférence revue par les paires interdisciplinaire et académique.
