Why Join ICP?

Join us in the organization of this stimulating and unique event! Do you want to contribute to promoting and showcasing innovative research in psychology? Would you like to learn how an academic conference works, get involved, and meet new people from the University of Ottawa and other universities? ICP is the organization for you!

Membership Options

You can become an executive member, associate member, or a volunteer for one of our committees : Finance, High School Liaison, Logistics, Peer-Review, and Publicity.

  • Directors work closely with the Co-Chairs to organize and plan the conference. To apply for a director position, you must be a uOttawa graduate students (any program). Depending on the committee, directors may oversee a team of volunteers.

  • Associate members are volunteers that work with directors throughout the year to complete tasks related to a given committee’s role. They are expected to attend the conference. Our associate member positions include:

    • Webmaster - Responsible for keeping the website up to date and user-friendly. Bilingualism and familiarity with website construction/design are assets for this position.

    • Administrative Coordinator - Responsible for keeping meeting minutes, sending email updates to the team, coordinating volunteers on the days of the conference, and assisting with the transition of executive team members from one year to the next. Bilingualism is an asset for this position.

  • Volunteers mainly help with day-of conference activities. They may help specifically with one committee, or they may be assigned to help with general tasks.
